eh, not all greens are against animal testing. Id venture to guess most aren't. It probably would have been better to say "Greens are against testing Cosmetics on animals." Most are aware of how we tests vaccines and drugs and the ethics as to why we can't experiment on humans in this category.

Each regiment had it's own version. It came , I am guess from the native Americans who used battle shouts. Many armies throughout history have used this same idea. In the martial arts I was thought to shout when attacking or even breaking a board.

Yes, the memories of the 1950's are just wonderful, if you cherry pick the good parts. America had not competition. Europe was struggling for 15 years after WWII to just rebuild what was bombed and destroyed. All the Asian countries were third-world countries with no economies to speak of. Diseases flourished that are now eradicated. Carnage on American highways, in those very cool cars, were turning people and babies into hamburger. Minorities were third-class citizens with little, or no rights. Rivers, lakes, soil and air were the depository for toxic chemical. Safety standards rarely existed for thousands of job types. Coal and asbestos miners were dying like flies. The people of Appalachia and dozens of counties were without education and living on a diet of squirrels and raccoons. A look back at the 1950's is great, if your wearing your rose colored glasses.

People often forget that the debate on slavery was a major point of contention going all the way back to the Declaration of Independence and then the Constitution. The debate over the Fugitive Slave Act in 1793, gradual emancipation around 1800, the ban on importing slaves in 1807, etc were all major flashpoints before the we even get to the Missouri Compromise. It was fairly clear from the start that slavery would be a major bone of contention and source of regional strife for the United States. It was kicked down the road multiple times before 1860; the surprising thing wasn't that the Civil War happened, it was that it happened so late and so violently.

In my personal opinion, this video put a very large spotlight on the U.S., and didn’t mention events that would be very significant for the context of the Chinese anti-foreigner mentality. The British played a great role in opening a new trade theater in the Middle Kingdom, as a result of the Opium Wars. And the Japanese had just won a war against China, stealing their title of “The Asian Power”. I believe that those are some very significant events that would lead to the Boxer’s Rebellion, and they were not even mentioned in the video. Apart from that, I believe that this is a very well made video! I loved the inclusion of the pictures and drawings from that time! Cheers!

The writers are ignoring history - the Articles of Confederation precede the Constitution which had a weak central government and strong state governance and it was a complete failure. Hamilton is taking these lessons and going hard to the opposite end of the spectrum, while Jefferson is still advocating for some kind of Confederation. I don't see this as foreshadowing as much as an over-reaction to the previous failure.

France alone could never have won the American Revolution nor have led the 13 Colonies to victory! Only Spain's involvement guaranteed American victory! Spain tipped the balance in favor of the American Colonies! For over 200 years we've been fed the lie that France was the only decisive actor who won the American Revolution lol! A complete lie! Also, Yorktown alone was not the turning point but both Pensacola and later Yorktown! The Spanish victory at Pensacola was first and then the American-French victory at Yorktown was second. So France alone cannot have all the glory lol!

After the Congress of Vienna, Gonzo Bankers set up Europe for a Central Bank System. All European Countries would eventually have one. This would produce an effective political management of European Countries. These central banks in all of Europe would finance wars. First small wars, then later on the GREAT WAR in 1914. Prices then seem low, but you need to multiply them by ten or fifteen to get comparable prices today. In 1965, I made $1.25 an hour as a gift wrapper at Bullock's Dept. store. My father gave me a five-dollar allowance a week, which was quite generous. I was able to save enough money to buy good shoes and decent clothes.
